ABOUT THE PRODUCT
What Wix Invoices is
Wix Invoices is a crucial financial tool at Wix that helps businesses grow. It lets users request and manage payments. To do that well, it has to fit each user’s needs, meet local legal requirements, and stay flexible.
ROLE
My role
As a UX senior designer, I participated in and contributed to every step of this project: user-voice analysis, competitor research, brainstorming, design delivery, and QA.
THE GOAL
What I set out to change
Give users a customization feature set so they can tailor invoices to their country’s regulations and business needs. This also removes a blocker for international users and grows the user base.
- Customization set
- Unblock international users
- Grow the user base

BACKGROUND RESEARCH
Understanding the problem
I looked at the problem from several angles, each one cross-checking the others.
Exploring the funnel
The invoice-creation funnel showed a big drop at the very first step: a serious decline between starting to create an invoice and saving it. Closing that biggest gap was the clearest way to increase invoice usage.

Customer support & user-feedback blitz
After analysing customer-support tickets and collecting feedback from users, it became clear that invoices were missing key customization capabilities.

Main competitors analysis
Competitor research of the main players on the market showed that customization was a very important part of invoices, and something Wix was missing.

WIREFRAMES
Testing the structure
After defining which new capabilities should be added to Settings, and where they belonged, I created wireframes to test the assumptions.

FINAL SCREENS
The delivered design
The challenge was to create the best, most efficient solution within the capabilities of Wix’s design system (WSR).

RESULTS
The impact
As a result of this feature, and the other invoice projects I worked on (integration with Stores, invoice-widget exposure, and other smaller features), the number of invoices sent and GMV nearly doubled within a year.
